Wood Floor Sanding
Floorzone have been specializing in wood floor sanding for many years all work is carried out with the clients health and home cleanliness in mind. We use specialist machinery to ensure a dust free environment when we sand wood floors.
We have a large stock of reclaimed boards to repair broken or missing boards e.g. when chimney breasts have been taken out.
Gaps can also be filled in with either dust/resin mix or strips of wood if wider.
The finish used can last for many years, without any treatment.
The first process in wood floor sanding is to level off, going diagonally across the boards. Then with the grain taking out all scratch marks.

We use as many grades of sandpaper required to give a clean fine finish to the boards. Then we finish off with either 3 coats of very hardwearing lacquer in Matt – Satin – Gloss finish or an oil finish which is generally matt. If you choose to finish with oil you have the ability to spruce your new sanded wood floor if it starts showing signs of wear in the future. We can also stain to whatever colour you require. E.g. if wanting to match furniture etc.
